You can mean the world to a family that struggles...

Dear Friend of ICA,

As 2022 draws to an end, we want to take a moment to thank you for all your kindness and support. Your frequent donations helped to give more than 1,300 individuals hope for a brighter future this year. We’ve served thousands of families across Southern Illinois challenged by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) during the past 45 years. We could not and we cannot do this alone.

Last year, you were there with your kindness and generosity to rescue nearly 40 ICA families struggling to feed their loved ones during the holidays because they could not afford to do so. You financially stepped forward when our Adult Services program needed help after COVID. You were the hero to an adult with ASD when his father, his caretaker, was hospitalized, and he was left alone to fend for himself. You are there at our every turn. You fill in the gap to sustain and to lift up. You are the true heroes to those we humbly serve and we need our heroes once again this year.

ICA transports our adults primarily from Madison and St. Clair Counties to and from our Community Day Services and Supported Employment programs. These services are crucial to the well-being and ongoing pursuit of independence of each of our adult clients. Without this opportunity many would be left without an alternative. Last year vandals severely damaged ICA vans. We’ve been feverishly searching for replacements (12 passenger vans are required) and located and purchased one. We now have to pay off a van valued at $38,000 and desperately need your help!

As we approach the joyous celebration of Christmas and New Year, we encourage you to, once again, come forward and support this crucial need.

This is a different ask for ICA, but a necessary one.Your generous acts of kindness can mean the world to a family who struggles to help prepare their adult child with ASD for the future. ICA stands firm in supporting this community and its families and because of you, we will continue to do so for another 45 years. Thank you and may you and your family have a very blessed holiday season!

Sincerely,

Rachel
